What automated reporting is, and how a management dashboard differs from a forecast. Figures are measures, not promised results.
Automated reporting assembles the same defined figures, on a schedule, from the systems that own the data. A management dashboard shows the operational state: open work, waiting replies, cycle time, or the report the team agreed to open.
A dashboard of the past is not a forecast. Predictive analytics waits until the history is usable, a horizon is agreed, and someone will compare the error with the method the team uses today.
